The month before a big event is when many people panic-buy new skincare. I'd like to talk you out of that. The best skin for makeup is calm, hydrated and familiar, meaning it's already used to everything you put on it. This plan focuses on consistency, smart timing and avoiding surprises.
A quick note first: I'm a makeup artist, not a doctor. If you're dealing with acne, rosacea, eczema, persistent dryness or anything that worries you, a dermatologist is the right person to help, and the earlier you go, the better. If you use prescription skincare, ask your dermatologist whether to change anything before your event.
